Description

Pine oil is a liquid mixture of macromolecular hydrocarbons distilled from pine roots at 240 ~ 400 C. Its main components are resin acid, rosin acid, guaiacol, cresol, phenol, turpentine, asphalt, etc. It is a dark brown to black viscous liquid with a
strong coke paste odor. The relative density is 1011.06. It is easy to dissolve in organic solvents such as ether, ethanol,
chloroform, volatile oil, soluble in glacial acetic acid, sodium hydroxide and other solutions, but difficult to dissolve in
water.
